CONTESTANT’S AGREEMENT
By submitting my entry to this Contest, I certify this is my original work and that, as the time of submission, this manuscript has not been accepted for publication. I further certify that I have no other novel-length fiction that has been accepted for publication. I have read and understand, and agree to abide by, the Rules of the Colorado Gold Writing Contest. I further understand and agree that any questions about interpretation of the Rules and any matters relating to the Contest not specifically covered by the Rules shall be decided by the Contest officials, and I shall accept the decision of the Contest officials as final. I realize and accept that manuscript judging and critiquing are subjective by nature; accordingly, I will accept and abide by the decision of the judges and/or the Contest officials and/or RMFW officials regarding finalists or winners in the Contest. Further, I will hold harmless and reimburse RMFW and its Contest
officials and/or judges for all lost, cost, or expenses incurred in connection with either: a) any dispute arising from my participation in the Contest, or b) any other matter arising from circumstances beyond the control of the Contest officials. In the event of any liability, I understand that RMFW, the Contest Committee, and the officers of RMFW shall be liable only for a refund of my Contest entry fee ($25.00) and, if applicable, a refund of my critique fee ($25.00): a maximum total refund of $50.00.
